| The
Education Center for Prostate Cancer Patients (ECPCP)
serves
the prostate cancer community worldwide from its main office in
Jericho,
NY. ECPCP's primary goal is to educate and support prostate cancer
patients
and their families, by seeking out the latest medical research and
data
on diagnostic techniques and treatment protocols. ECPCP reports on
every
trend and development concerning both conventional and
complementary treatments.
Through personalized attention, ECPCP helps each prostate
cancer patient
get the information they need to make the decisions that affect
their
life. At the core of ECPCP's services are Prostate Cancer
Advisors, who
are themselves patients or survivors. Advisors help patients
understand
what options are available to them, and provide them with
research materials,
referrals, and recommendations designed to help guide them
through every
phase of their diagnosis and treatment.
In addition to unlimited access to the advisory service, ECPCP
members
also receive subscriptions to the bimonthly publication, The
Prostate
Cancer Exchange, and other timely materials on topics ranging
from prevention
to advanced cancer concerns.
ECPCP was founded in 1996 and is incorporated as a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit
organization. Executive Director and advisor James Lewis, Jr.,
Ph.D. successfully
fought prostate cancer himself, and has dedicated the rest of
his life
to educating other patients. Dr. Lewis has advised and counseled
more
than 50,000 patients throughout the world on prostate cancer.
ECPCP wishes to offer every prostate cancer patient hope
through education.
There is no charge for ECPCP's educational materials. Operating
expenses
are secured by voluntary tax-exempt contributions from members
and concerned
individuals and sponsors. We urge you to make a donation.
